Derek was born on 31st August 1961, at 5 minutes past 4am, in the Military Hospital, in Plymouth, he was born Prematurely hitting the big scales at a mere 2lb-1oz.

He am hearing Impaired and has fused toes.

Over the years he has supported a number of Charities, all for personal feeling. He has always said that if you are going to support a charity, know why you want to, and get to know about the charity. He has carried out Runs, Walks, Football, boxing, held supermarket and pub collections, held Raffles and even done a bed race!
