Halifax Household Waste Recycling Centre

Halifax tip is owned and operated by Calderdale council, Halifax Recycling Centre allows you to recycle the following items here:

 

  • Aerosols
  • Aluminium cans
  • Aluminiun Foil
  • Batteries
  • Books
  • Glass Bottles
  • Bric A Brac
  • (Bricks) Bricks and rubble (and soil) are classed as non-household waste, so there is a charge of ¬£2.50 per bag. Elland and Sowerby Bridge HWRCs cannot take plasterboard, hardcore or rubble. All other sites will take up to 6 bags/items of these materials. Each bag must be no more than 20kg.

All Calderdale household waste recycling centres are open on Bank Holidays (except Christmas and New Year), operating Sunday opening hours.
