Nab Lane tip is owned and operated by Kirklees council, Nab Lane Recycling Centre allows you to recycle the following items here:

 

  • Batteries (including domestic and car batteries)
  • Beverage cartons
  • Bicycles
  • Cans
  • Cardboard
  • Cooking oil
  • Electrical goods
  • Fridge freezers
  • Garden waste (not including soil, turf, rubble or hardcore – please see below)
  • Gas bottles
  • General waste
  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Household chemicals
  • Metal
  • Oil
  • Paint
  • Paper
  • Plaster and plasterboard (you will need to book for free disposal of plaster and plasterboard)
  • Plastic bottles
  • Textiles
  • Wood

You can not take the items below to the recycling centre.

  • Ceramics – for example tiles, toilets, sinks and cisterns
  • Hardcore
  • Paving slabs
  • Rubble
  • Soil
  • Turf
  • Stone
