Wooler Tip is owned and operated by Northumberland County Council, Wooler Recycling Centre allows you to dispose of the following items here:

 

  • Automotive – car batteries, used engine oil, tyres (maximum five tyres in a year)
  • Bric-a-brac (except Berwick) For local resale off-site under licence
  • Cans – (rinsed food and drinks cans)
  • Cardboard (flatten, remove plastic wrapping)
  • Cartons (rinsed)
  • Electrical items
  • Garden waste
  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Light bulbs (at special collection point – do not put in bottle bank)
  • Metals
  • Paper (clean, un-shredded)
  • Plastic bottles (rinse, remove lids)
  • Textiles e.g. clothes and shoes (bagged and paired)
  • Oil – Cooking
  • Plastic wrappings
  • Polystyrene
  • Nappies (please bag and tie at the top)
  • Food waste (please bag and tie at the top)
