At least 64% of all offices in the UK have a surplus stock of printer cartridges hanging around their stockroom. Do you?
Have you recently changed your printers and now have obsolete printing supplies?
Many companies change their printers and have left over printer cartridges. Usually suppliers are happy to sell you cartridges but usually they will not take goods back ordered in surplus. They are usually not sympathetic to the fact that you have just upgraded your whole range of printers and are now sitting on a pile or maybe even pallet full of now unusable inks and/or toner cartridges, these days most budgets are being stretched and surely that surplus stock sitting there gathering dust would be more of an asset in cash, there is always the option of waiting until year end and then writing it off but then what? The surplus stock is still sitting there gathering dust to eventually go out of date; in the end it will still end costing you to be disposed.
Don't just leave them in the stockroom; turn them back into cash! You could use the extra cash to offset against your printing costs, the staff christmas party or whatever you see fit, through our scheme you can even donate your surplus stocks to a charity of your choice.
We buy surplus stock from many companies and organisations around the country; even if they are out of date they may still have a value. We arrange and pay for all the shipping, all you need to do is Contact Us with your stock list and photo's if possible and we will reply with a valuation. All amounts are considered from a few products to entire overstock. We also purchase brankruptcy and liquidation stocks.
Printer cartridge manufacturers change the designs on the boxes periodically, this gives us an idea on the age of the cartridges, most cartridges also have a 'Install By' date on the back. An example of the changes in box design can be seen below:
*Please note, the above images are an example only, we buy most brands of surplus stocks.
This is the really old style HP box and would be B Grade as they are obsolete.
This is a more recent style HP box and is still in circulation so could be A or B Grade depending on the condition of the box, see grades below.
This is the very latest style HP box and could be A or B Grade depending on the condition of the box, see grades below.
Prices we pay for surplus printer cartridges can vary, the condition of the packaging and the age of the products all play a part in dictating their value. It is vital that you grade your surplus stocks as acuratley as possible because this will effect the price we quote.
To make it simple we grade stock either A grade, B Grade or C Grade.
A Grade Products:
A Grade products are printer cartridges that are brand new and in perfect condition. The packaging must be in good condition with no writing, excess labels, rips or tears on the box. A grade products must be unopened and still be in date. Compatible or Remanufactured printer cartridges are not classed as A grade even if they are in perfect condition.
B Grade Products:
B Grade products covers a wider range of printer cartridges. Products with opened boxes (not internal sealed bags), light to medium damaged boxes, writing or excess lables, out of date cartridges all fall into B grade.
C Grade Products:
C Grade products are printer cartridges that have heavily crushed boxes & cartridges without boxes (we only accept these if the internal sealed bag is still sealed). We do not accept damaged printer cartridges.

Packing your Surplus Stocks and Free Collections
Once we have agreed to buy your surplus stocks we will then arrange a free collection, we generally use a courier service for this so your surplus stock must be available collection between normal office hours. We will need the full collection address, telephone number and a point of contact, please be accurate when providing your address, remember to include any special instructions such as your department or office number etc. This will ensure that the collection goes as smoothly as possible.
Packing your surplus stock correctly ready for collection is important, couriers add lables to boxes which can deface the printer cartridge boxes and lower their grade and value so please make sure all surplus stock is packed in outer boxes(unless on pallets) strong enough to survive the journey back to us. Packing the goods correctly is YOUR responsability unfortunatly Recycleaid nor our third party courier can not be held liable for surplus stocks received damaged due to insufficiant or poor packing.
Payments
Once we have received your goods and booked them in we will then make payment to you.Payments are usually made by cheque but we can also arange a direct transfer into your bank, whichever your prefer.
