Wooler Tip is owned and operated by Northumberland County Council, Wooler Recycling Centre allows you to dispose of the following items here:
- Automotive – car batteries, used engine oil, tyres (maximum five tyres in a year)
- Bric-a-brac (except Berwick) For local resale off-site under licence
- Cans – (rinsed food and drinks cans)
- Cardboard (flatten, remove plastic wrapping)
- Cartons (rinsed)
- Electrical items
- Garden waste
- Glass bottles and jars
- Light bulbs (at special collection point – do not put in bottle bank)
- Metals
- Paper (clean, un-shredded)
- Plastic bottles (rinse, remove lids)
- Textiles e.g. clothes and shoes (bagged and paired)
- Oil – Cooking
- Plastic wrappings
- Polystyrene
- Nappies (please bag and tie at the top)
- Food waste (please bag and tie at the top)
