Hanmer Landfill is owned and operated by the City of Greater Sudbury, Hanmer Dump allows you to dispose of the following items here:
- Blue Box recyclables
- Organic food scraps and non-recyclable paper products
- Scrap metal (sheet metal, siding, roofing, pipes, window frames, car parts)
- Electronics (computers, phones, keyboards, printers, fax machines)
- Appliances (refrigerators, ovens, stoves, washers, dryers
- dishwashers, freezers, air conditioning units, microwaves, hot water tanks)
- Reusable cloth items (pillows, blankets, sheets, towels
- clothing, purses, belts, shoes)
- Leaf and yard trimmings (leaves, grass, twigs and branches
- Sod (no soil or rocks)
- Tires (with or without rims)
