Biggleswade tip is owned and operated by Bedfordshire council, Biggleswade Recycling Centre allows you to dispose of the following items here:
- glass bottles and jars, wood
- cardboard (including corrugated cardboard)
- green garden waste, newspaper and paper
- aluminium cans, textiles
- hard plastics, scrap metal, electrical appliances
- TVs, computer equipment etc. (please ensure all personal data is removed from items such as PCs, laptops, smart TVs, mobile phones, tablets and sat navs)
- white electrical goods
- household furniture (beds, mattresses, wardrobes, chest of drawers, etc.)
- carpets and underlays (no carpet tiles)
- car and household batteries, light bulbs
- used engine and cooking oil, gas cylinders, paint
- one fridge or one fridge-freezer (one of either within 12 months; you will need a waste permit)
- one freezer (one within 12 months; you will need a waste permit)
- tyres (two within 12 months; you will need a waste permit)
- mixed recycling
