Crowborough tip is owned and operated by East Sussex county council, Crowborough Recycling Centre allows you to dispose of the following items here:
- Aerosols, Aluminium foil
- Books, Bric-a-brac
- Cans/Tins, Car batteries
- Cardboard, Chemicals (not recycled)
- Cooking oil, Electrical goods
- Engine oil, Fluorescent tubes/Energy saving bulbs
- Fridges/Freezers, Furniture
- Glass bottles/Jars, Green garden waste/Christmas trees
- Hardcore/Rubble, Household batteries
- Household waste (not recycled)
- Metal items, Mobile phones
- Newspapers/Magazines/Junk mail/White Telephone Directories
- Paint – solvent-based (not recycled)
- Paint – water-based emulsion, Plasterboard
- Plastic bottles, Printer cartridges, Soil
- Spectacles, Textiles/Shoes, Timber/Wood
- TVs/Computer monitors, Yellow Pages
Site Restrictions:
- Only household waste from residents own houses in East Sussex.
- No business waste
- Soil, hardcore and plasterboard will be charged.
- Vehicle height limit of 2 metres (6 feet, 6 inches).
- No vehicles that weigh 3500kg or above.
- No vehicles with Luton, flatbed or tipper bodies.
- Large heavy bags like tonne bags or hippo bags should not be used.
- Small amounts of DIY type waste will be accepted (but some are now charged for).
- Small amounts of household chemicals will be accepted.
