Glasgow Wood Recycling is a social enterprise and charity established in 2007 and committed to reducing the amount of wood needlessly going to landfill by finding creative ways to recycle and reuse this valuable natural resource.
Through these activities we provide volunteer and training opportunities to local people, as a practical way of tackling poverty and social exclusion.” There are many ways to recycle wood but Glasgow Wood Recyclers reuse wood and make it into environmentally responsible and usable or decorative items such as barrels furniture and garden ware.
They also collect various types of wood for reuse and recycling from around the Glasgow area. This company charges a fee for collections. To find out more about this company or to get involved see the details below.
