♻️ What to Do With Excess Waste
Recycling & Capacity Guide📌 Free Up Bin Space
Struggling to fit everything in your bin? More than half of the waste in black bins can typically be recycled (such as paper, cardboard, plastics, tins, cans, and food waste). Maximising your recycling services makes a big difference.
🌿 Maximise Your Recycling
- Put out as many green recycling bags as you need on collection week.
- Use the weekly food waste collection for all food waste.
- Take glass bottles and textiles to your nearest bring banks.
- Sign up for the garden waste collection scheme.
📋 Extra Capacity Assessment
If you consistently generate more waste than your black bin can accommodate due to specific circumstances, you may be eligible for additional waste capacity.
Note: A site visit may be conducted to assess recycling practices. Applications are typically processed within 4 weeks.
